David Quigley has been studying the martial arts for 25 years and has been teaching for over 10. He has trained extensively with the world’s top instructors in Jeet Kune Do, the Filipino Martial Arts, and Muay Thai, just to name a few. He began teaching at the Scott Shields Martial Arts Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina and later moved to Chicago for graduate school, where he founded and was the head instructor of the University of Chicago Jeet Kune Do Club. David moved to the Los Angeles area in order to train regularly with Sifu Ron Balicki, Guro Dan Inosanto, and Coach Erik Paulson. From 2012 to 2013, David was the only certified instructor in Jeet Kune Do in Beijing, China and taught privately.
He has received instructor ranks and/or black belts in Jun Fan Gung Fu/Jeet Kune Do under Sifu Ron Balicki and Sifu Scott Shields, the Filipino Martial Arts (Kali/Eskrima/Arnis) under Guro Scott Shields, Muay Thai under Kru Scott Shields, Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, and Shotokan Karate-Do. David also has advanced rank in Jeet Kune Do under Guro Dan Inosanto, Lai Tung Pai Kung Fu, and Wing Chun Kung Fu and was the 2001 and 2002 CACMA San Shou Full Contact champion. Additionally, he has studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA for years and has trained under martial arts legends Bas Rutten, Diana Lee Inosanto, Sifu Francis Fong, Ajarn Chai, and Paul Vunak.
